CNT Energy is a non-profit organization helping consumers and communities obtain the information and services they need to control energy costs. The organization was founded in January 2000 by the Center for Neighborhood Technology.
CNT Energy offers consumers up-to-date information on the rapidly changing energy market in Illinois. Members gain access to educational programs on managing energy costs, as well as opportunities to participate in pilot programs designed to benefit consumers.
Power Smart Pricing is a real-time pricing program for residential customers served by Ameren Illinois Utilities (AmerenCILCO, AmerenCIPS and AmerenIP). CNT Energy serves as the program administrator and provides information, services and tools to help customers manage their electricity costs with Power Smart Pricing.
