Small Multifamily Buildings
You may qualify to receive a free energy assessment through the Energy Savers program if you own a small multifamily (two, three, or four unit) building.
The free assessment (valued at $400-$600) will provide recommendations tailored to improve the energy and water efficiency of your building. We will also offer a variety of FREE improvements during the assessment to help save energy, water, and money immediately! Apply now to take advantage of this offer here: http://www.cntenergy.org/buildings/energysavers/small-multifamily/application/
How it Works:
- Building Assessment and Expert Advice. Experts from CNT Energy and a qualified contractor will conduct a building assessment specifically looking at ways to improve the energy and water efficiency, and health and safety of your home. Your expert energy assessor will help you identify the most cost-effective investments for your building. The qualified contractor will provide a bid for the items most important to you and that will give the best return on investment.
- Financial Guidance. The Energy Savers team can help you connect with low-cost financing to help pay for the recommended improvements. We’ll also help you take advantage of available rebates and incentives.
- Construction Oversight. The Energy Savers team will assist you throughout the construction process, including soliciting bids from contractors and inspecting the work that is done.

What is Energy Savers?
The Energy Savers program is run by CNT Energy, a Chicago-based organization that delivers economic and environmental benefits to households, building owners, and communities through energy efficiency and conservation. Energy Savers has delivered energy efficiency improvements to apartment buildings with 5 or more units since 2008 and has upgraded more than 11,000 units with energy efficiency retrofits. Thanks to the program’s track record of success, it now serves apartment buildings with two, three, and four units.
